Compact, high performance, thermoelectrically-cooled CCD imaging colorimeters for your demanding R&D and production needs.
Featuring thermoelectrically-cooled sensors up to 12 megapixels, these instruments are built to handle the high accuracy and reliability demands of R&D and production environments. Choose from the following 6 models, and the option for electronic lens control with the E models, or an integrated spectroradiometer in the ES models:
- WP690 | WP6120 – 9 and 12 megapixel thermoelectrically-cooled CCD high accuracy imaging colorimeters, trisimulus filter wheel and manual lens control for 2D luminance and chromaticity at great resolution
- WP690E | WP6120E – 9 and 12 megapixel thermoelectrically-cooled CCD high accuracy imaging colorimeter, trisimulus filter wheel, and electronic lens control for increased repeatability and custom working distances
- WP690ES | WP6120ES – 9 and 12 megapixel thermoelectrically-cooled CCD highest accuracy imaging colorimeter, trisimulus filter wheel, electronic lens control and integrated spectroradiometer for the most accurate imaging and repeatability
AR/VR display testing
The periscope XR1 Near Eye Display (NED) Lens provides optimal test performance for displays up to 60 degrees horizontal or vertical field of view (FOV). The periscope design ensures the lens readily fits into the final assemblies of glasses, headsets, and helmets. Under different stimuli, human visual accommodation results in varying pupil diameters. For that reason, the entrance pupil aperture is adjustable from 1.5 to 5.0 mm.
Megapixel Resolution
With up to 12 Megapixel Resolution, 16-bit A/D conversion and temperature regulation, precise and accurate measurement of even the finest details is now obtainable. Measurements of flat panel displays, backlit keyboards, or automotive panel graphics can be quickly and reliably completed.
Because imaging colorimeters are often compared to and corrected by spot spectroradiometers, it makes sense to integrate the two. With the WP6ES, a circular area in the center of the measurement can be measured with both the imaging colorimeter and the “spot” spectroradiometer. Photometrica software automatically computes a color correction based on a comparison between the two measurements. This correction can significantly improve the accuracy of the imaging colorimeter.
The WP6E and WP6ES Series feature electronic focus and iris control, resulting in improved accuracy and enhanced automation.
Large selection of 2D lenses
Using the right lens is an important part successful measurements and analyses. WP imaging colorimeters can be paired with a wide range of interchangeable, 2D lenses. 2X, 5X, and 10X microscope lenses are also available for high resolution measurements of very small areas, for example, sub pixel and micro display applications.

Conometer® Viewing Angle Lens
WP’s Conometer® Lens is a Conoscopic lens using Fourier optics to enable luminance and chromaticity measurements of flat panel displays up to +/-80 degrees from normal (160 degrees full angle). A spectral measurement at the center of the field of view can also be acquired to improve the system’s accuracy.
