A Brief History
Originally, the company was founded by Tim Moggridge in 1994, operating as the North American Distributor for Instrument Systems Canada. During this time, we gained extensive experience with LED and display test applications in research and development and high-volume production.
Recognizing a gap in the industry, in 2000 we started a second company, Lumetrix Corp., and seized the opportunity to begin providing 2-D photometric hardware and software solutions. We launched our first line of imaging photometers and software. At the time, we were also the first to use electronic bracketing for photometry.
Eight years later, Instrument Systems Canada and Lumetrix combined to form Westboro Photonics with a renewed focus on product 2-D photometer and colorimeter development, and the rest is history.
